Lessons
Now offering virtual lessons
Whether you’re looking for a one-off lesson or want consistent feedback in preparation for a recital or audition, these lessons are for the dedicated percussionist. All lessons will be broadcasted from my home studio in order to deliver an experience that is as close to in-person lessons as possible.
I am setup to record and broadcast live audio on a 5.0 octave marimba, vibraphone, snare drum, and drum set. If you are looking to play live for a lesson, you must have access to the necessary full sized instrument for the piece(s) you have prepared (and it is highly encouraged to have a microphone attachment as well). If you want direct feedback on a recording, it is encouraged, though not necessary, to also have access to an instrument.
Rates are listed below! Payments can be made via Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or credit card and must be sent before the start of the lesson or lesson cycle.
For one off lessons / For monthly packages (per every 4 lessons)
$45 for 30 minutes / $150 for 30 minutes
$60 for 45 minutes / $200 for 45 minutes
$75 for 60 minutes / $250 for 60 minutes

“"I'm 30 minutes into practicing my solo and with the ideas [Nathaniel] gave me during our lesson, that was the most productive 30 minutes I've ever had musically. I made a list of specific things to practice for short periods of time and it really helped me stay on track. It was definitely a bit too fast paced but now that I know it's too fast I can schedule the next 30 minutes slower. I just wanted to say thanks for helping me create a plan to really focus on music. I'm much more confident on my solo already."

“I am so thankful for all [of Nathaniel’s] work with [Jane] and inspiring her to become a better percussionist. She has learned so much from [him] in such a short time and had so much fun. My only regret is not starting the lessons sooner! [Nathaniel’s] skill is beyond measure and I've enjoyed watching [him] perform, from Wheaton College to the Oswego East final concert with the students."

"[Jane] has grown leaps and bounds with [Nathaniel] and really has enjoyed working with [him]! [He] challenged her both musically and mentally which we greatly appreciate!"
